Tuesday's Tale

I just posted Part 24 of my Tuesday’s Tale on my website, LindaThompsonBooks.com.  The story is a weekly writing exercise where I add to a continuing story without having it outlined.

This story, which is as yet untitled, is set before Mr. Bingley leases Netherfield.  It opens with Elizabeth’s trip north with the Gardiners. While the couple is visiting with Mrs. Gardiner’s childhood friends, Elizabeth walks out in the direction of Pemberley.  The trio had toured it the day before, and Elizabeth was much taken with its beauty.  A rapidly moving storm causes an accident which injures Elizabeth.  However, it is observed by Darcy who is trying to race home before the storm breaks.  Elizabeth is severely injured and loses portions of her memory.  Unfortunately for all involved, the Gardiner’s receive an urgent express from home about a serious illness affecting their children.  They leave their personal servants to look for their missing niece, but they must depart to return home before Elizabeth is found.

This story is not canon.  Lady Anne is still alive, though Georgiana has died.  Wickham is worse than usual as are the members of the Bennet family, with the exception of Jane and Kitty.  The Bingleys and Lady Catherine will all make an appearance.  However, if you wish to know more, you will have to visit the Blog Page of LindaThompsonBooks.com to read the story for yourself.
